Hotel Rural Almazara

Just got back from staying there for three nights. The view is awesome. We rented a car and had no problems parking. Might be hard to get to it and to other places without a car but for us it was perfect. The restaurant was really great. The food was fresh and delicious (loved the lasagne) and the servers were friendly and attentive. They really cared about their work. The room was clean. We have kids and needed two rooms and they were able to put us right next to each other. Did I mention the views!! Staff was very friendly with us as well. The location was perfect for us. We will be staying here again.

Rated the room a fairly generous three but tonight, after eating an absolutely impeccable meal downstairs, I'd rob them by giving anything that low! A set menu giving a choice of seven primeros and seven main courses??? For fourteen euro!!??! Truly wonderful and not to be missed. This hotel gets a lot of repeat business and the owner humbly said that people who eat here once, always return. Btw nothing at all wrong with the room but it's not spectacular you know, basic but comfortable.

We booked a table for dinner but when we arrived the restaurant was closed! No apology offered. We left a phone charger behind but they refused to post it back, despite me offering to pay the costs. “We don’t offer this service”! However I was able to get it collected later. The hotel itself was ok and the room had a nice terrace.

I spent a night in this nice hotel with my partner. The hotel is generally very nice with cosy rustic decoration. The location is perfect if you have a car which we did.the area is quiet and also the rooms have a nice terraces with beautiful views to both mountain and sea (ours was oriented to the west, so we could even see the sunset from there, amazing!) The so called "Spa" is not worth it the pool is very small you can't swim the jacuzzi again very small, instead of being rounded is squared and small. The staff we met in January 2019 was definitely not the best, (the young girl and old man at reception) I would say they couldn't care less, they were not welcoming at all. They definitely havent been trained properly in customer service. They never told us any information about the hotel, or the village, they never asked how was the room, or, our experience in the Spa. Instead they were rushing us giving us orders unpolitely about finishing the Spa in time. I belive this place has a lot of potential and it is a nice cosy hotel but it could have been a lot more welcoming and cosy if staff at the front desk are more helpful, friendly and interested in giving a good service. Definitely a change that director should think about as this makes a huge difference in the customer experience
